Miss Gayle~
Co-Director and Founder of Gayle’s DancePhase

Miss Gayle is one of the founding teachers of GDP. This is her 28th year running a dance studio. She graduated from Eastern Michigan University. Miss Gayle is certified to teach quality dance by Dance Masters of America and Dance Educators. Miss Gayle teaches classes in both the recreational program and the competitive program. Miss Gayle's competition teams have won many awards on a regional and national level. Her works have been honored as "Most Entertaining" as well as winning many top awards. Miss Gayle is married and a mother to a son, A.J. and a daughter, Alyssa.


Miss Tina~
Co-Director of GDP and Co-Director of Majestic Dance Ensemble of Michigan

Miss Tina has spent her life pursuing her passion for dance. She has been a part of the studio since it began. Miss Tina’s students have gone on to have wonderful careers is dance and art related fields. She has continued to train with some of the best teachers in the country and she brings that knowledge back to all her classes. Miss Tina is well rounded and teaches all subjects at GDP. Miss Tina is a member of and certified to teach by Dance Masters of America and the Cecchetti Council of America. She is also the Co-Director of the Majestic Dance Ensemble of Michigan.


Miss Sarah~
Gayle’s DancePhase Senior Dance Instructor and Co-Director of Majestic Dance Ensemble of Michigan

Miss Sarah started dancing at the age of 2. She knew growing up that dance was her passion. She started dancing competitively when she was 6 and has won many dance award and titles. She travels around the United States taking class with some of the world’s best teachers including Mia Michaels, Steve LaChance, Tyce Diorio, Paula Morgan, Mandy Moore and many others. Miss Sarah began teaching at the age of 13 and has never stopped. She teaches all subjects, both competitive and non-competitive, to dancers of all ages and abilities. Her dances have won many high point awards both regionally and nationally. Her dances have also won many special judges awards including Most Entertaining & Best Choreography.  Most recently, Miss Sarah has been invited to join the judges panel for a national dance competition. Miss Sarah is a member of the Cecchetti Council of America and a certified dance teacher. She is also the Co-Director of the Majestic Dance Ensemble of Michigan.


Miss Nina~
Gayle’s DancePhase Senior Dance Instructor

Miss Nina started dancing when she was only 2 years old. She danced for many years as a competitive dancer. When she entered high school, she joined the Pom-pom team and soon became their captain. After high school, Miss Nina attended college at Michigan State University where she graduated in 2005 with a communications degree. This is Miss Nina's 14th year of teaching dance. She teaches both competition and non-competition classes. Miss Nina is married and mother to a son, Beck and a daughter, Willow.

Miss Danielle~
Gayle’s DancePhase Senior Dance Instructor

Miss Danielle started dancing as a child and was winning competitions by age 11. Following high school Miss Danielle pursued her passion for cosmetology and earned her license. Miss Danielle is a top stylist at Premier Salon in 12 Oaks Mall when she is not on the dance floor teaching. Miss Danielle has been on staff at Gayle’s DancePhase for 7 years. She teaches classes in both the recreational department and competition dancers.


Miss Melissa~
Gayle’s DancePhase Tumbling Instructor

Miss Melissa began gymnastics at the age of 5. She competed as a class 3, class 4, level 7 and level 8. She began coaching at Kansas Gymnastics and Dance Center in 1990. She co-owned and directed Lawrence Gymnastics Academy in Kansas before moving to MI. Miss Melissa coaches both competitive and non-competitive gymnasts of all ages. After moving to MI, Miss Melissa coached at the Sports Club of Novi for 6 years where she held the titles of Preschool Gymnastics Director and Recreational Gymnastics Director. She graduated from University of Kansas with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and graduated from Oakland University with a master’s degree in Counseling. Miss Melissa has been teaching at GDP since January of 2006. She has 3 children Emma, Ty and Tessa.


Miss Michele~
Gayle’s DancePhase Administrator

Miss Michele began at Gayle’s as a student of 11 years. She graduated from Oakland University in 2004 with a Bachelors of General Studies degree with a Health Science focus. Michele taught dance for 5 years before taking over the administrator position. If you need help with anything at our studio, Michele has the answer or can get it quick. She really understands all aspects of the studio. Miss Michele is now married with one child. Her daughter Lilly is now a student at GDP.



Miss Shelby~
Gayle's DancePhase Dance Instructor

Miss Shelby performed in her first recital at the young age of 22 months.  She has trained all over the country with talent such as Paula Morgan, Tcye Diorio, Mia Michaels, Alex Wong, Cory Finn, and many others.  Shelby trains in all methods of dance, and has been competing for over ten years.  She has choreographed numerous routines and trained soloists for two years, her competition pieces have a history of gold and platinum awards that reflect her abilities as a teacher.  Shelby is ready to bring her energy and enthusiasm for dance to your child and is looking forward to a great dance season.


Mr. Drew~
Gayle's DancePhase Tumbling Instructor

Mr. Drew is currently a student at OCC where he is studying to be a school teacher.  He enjoys working with children and helping them achieve their goals.  He has been teaching Gymnastics at Novi Sports Club and continues to train and improve his own skills.  He has been tumbling for seven years and has spent a lifetime at Gayles Dancephase thanks to his mother's influence.  Drew has enjoyed taking part in roller hockey and also does a few moves in the dance rooms as well (some of you might have seen him around the studio).  He is excited to be teaching and hopes to be a positive and motivating influence on all the young tumblers at GDP.
